Atlanta's beloved Georgia Latino International Film Festival is turning 15, and they are celebrating in the most fitting way imaginable — like a quinceañera. GALIFF XV, produced by the Georgia Latino Film Alliance (GALFA), will run September 30 through October 4, 2026, at the historic Fox Theatre, and the milestone edition is already shaping up to be something special.

Leading the festivities is a well-earned honor for Roberto Sanchez, a Cuban-born, Miami-raised actor, writer, director, and producer who will receive the Excellence in Filmmaking Award at the opening awards ceremony on September 30. With more than 150 film and television credits — including roles in '2 Fast 2 Furious,' 'Speed Racer,' and series like 'Cape Fear' and 'Palm Royale' — Sanchez has built a 25-year legacy on both sides of the camera.
